The organizing committee cordially invites you to participate in the 3rd ASQUA Conference, co-hosted by the KOQUA and KIGAM
The 3rd ASQUA Conference is organized by the KOQUA (Korea Association for Quaternary Research) and celebrates "100th Anniversary" of the Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources (KIGAM). KIGAM is one of government-funded research organizations in Korea.
ASQUA was initiated in 2007 during the International Symposium on the 50th anniversary of the Japan Association for Quaternary Research(JAQUA). It aims to serve as an important platform for scientific communication and cooperation among the Quaternary scientists from Asia. The first ASQUA Conference was held in Beijing, October 19–23, 2009.
The 2nd one was held on 9–15 September, 2013 in Ulan-Ude, Russia and was jointly organized by the Geological Institute of the Siberian Branch of RAS, the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and the INQUA Commission on Stratigraphy and Chronology.
The three day events are comprised of plenary sessions, concurrent sessions, field trips (three sites chosen by participants).
